Thundersnowstorm

The snowstorm dumped about 4 inches of snow and resulted in a power outage for about 23 hours.  The boys were terrified when the power went out, but then found out how fun it could be:  playing with flashlights, having a sleepover in mommy's bed, going out to eat at McDonalds in order to warm up, and sledding all day long!  Robert was disappointed when the power came back on and said he hoped the power went out again.

Robert and Jack walking to our sledding hill.

It took forever to get there because Robert kept stopping to eat snow.  I had a hard time getting Jack out the door.  He was throwing a tantrum since I would not let him eat candy after breakfast.

When we got to the hill, Jack finally stopped crying "candy" and started to eat the snow,

and he ate more snow

and more snow.

I did manage to get Jack to put the snow down and actually go sledding.

Robert

This year is the first time Robert is able to walk back up the hill with his sled by himself.  My back thanks him for this.  Now I just have to train Jack to walk up by himself.

Jack decided it was more fun to slide down on his bottom instead of taking turns with the sled.

It was tough going without power: no phone, no internet, no tv, and worst of all, no heat!  I was just starting to put the boys in the car and head over to my mom's house when the power returned last night.  Alex had to go to work and missed all the fun.
