Cakes and candy bars

Here is the puppy dog cake I made for Alex's birthday.  The boys picked it out of the cake book.  It was really easy to make.  I used chocolate licorice to outline the ears and mouth.  (I really hate black licorice, so I was excited to see they now sell Hershey chocolate licorice.  But, it turns out that it tastes awful, too.)  I used junior mints and chocolate mint cookies for the spots, and then used fruit by the foot for the red collar and tongue.

It is Teacher Appreciation week at Robert's preschool and I had to come up with small treats for 40 teachers.  So, I made these rose sticker labels that say "Our teachers are the sweetest!" and put them on a Hershey bar.
